Just suffered a complete clutch failure (on 25th October), had the AA tow the car to the dealer and discovered that the warranty expired on the 19th October!

 

My Galaxy is a 55 plate 1.8 diesel. It has done 38,000 miles and has been fully dealer serviced. We bought it when it was just under a year old. It had been a "demonstrator" at another dealer.

id certainly be looking for at least a goodwill gesture from fords especially if as you say it has a full history,contact the trade and standards peeps and get some info from them and maybe write to someone like auto express to see what they have to say about it??.

Ford will possibly pay out for this, maybe even in full, you need to contact Ford UK customer services, I've had them pay out a few years ago after a fault when the warranty had just run out.
