eddies Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 On my 2000 Alhambra (same as galaxy) I found the following error using VAC COM....... 01135 Interior Monitoring Sensors 35-10 Intermittent Anyone have any suggestions ho to figure out whihc Interior Sensor is a DUD? Thanks in advance Quote
insider Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 As the fault is intermittent it's probably nothing to be concerned about. Quote
eddies Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 It is a problem when it starts blasting off in the wee hours as the neighbours get annoyed. There has to be some way of checking the sensors seperately without replacing all of them. It does not happen too often..........but it is very annoying when it does. Quote
richyrich Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 I got so fed up with mine years ago that I found the easiest option was to unlug the sensor in drivers side B pilllar. You need to unbolt the seat belt thing but it doesn't take too long. I found that they were affected by so many things inside the car and going off all sorts of times - particulary during the hot weather. No problem now. Rich Quote
f0ster Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 if the sensors are ultrasonic you can get just the sensor heads from electronics catalogues for a couple of quid each, there are usually two,one transmitter one reciever, they wear out eventually and become unstable, the way to tell if they are ultrasonic is to look at one and if it is the size of a small thimble with a piece of mesh at one end and electrical connections at the other, they are ultrasonic. eddies Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 Thanks for the advice on where to head to fix this fault. These forums are very very useful for getting help with these electronic gizmos fitted to all new cars. Quote
