Muesli Camel Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) Hi Everyone, Please help with some silly questions, I need to reset the airbags on my 51 plate Alhambra TDi SE 115 and I have purchased the VAG-COM cable from ebay as suggested on here. My silly question is, where do I plug it in to the car? The cable is in 2 parts, the first part has the usb on one end and the large plug at the other with a seperate extention cable which ends in smaller leads. Do I need the extra bit or do I just use the first part? I have searched on here and looked at all the suggested places (under ashtray ans steering wheel) but to no avail. Please put me out of my misery!!!! MC Edited October 5, 2008 by Muesli Camel Quote

PaulusGT40 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Hi. have tried to open this image but I am a new member and I think there are restrictions on me ?!I have been lying upside down under the steering wheel for past 15 minutes to try & find the Vag Com socket. I have removed dashboard underpanels, side panels surrounding the ECU, ashtray, but am simply unable to find it - is it possible for someone to describe in more detail the exact location. Car is a 1999 Galaxy 1.9TDi Quote
gregers Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 think yours is under the ash tray? Quote
PaulusGT40 Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 YOU ARE RIGHT!I had originally just removed the ashtray base but after telling my wife it is definitely not there, she decided to have a go and after removing the lower ashtray base she found it sitting there staring at her. Very humiliating for me!Thanks again at all to members who have helped out. Quote
