Mondeo Lights Problem

Hi - just set out in the car and found that I have no side lights front or rear on either side also my instrument lights are out - main beam and dipped beam work fine so does the rear fogs (needed them to get back home) Even the parking lights work.

 

I have checked all the fuses all seem Ok and as left and right side lights are on different fuses have ruled fuses out as main problem

 

- could it be the main light switch - is it a hard job to change - any help greatly appreciated -

My friend's Mondeo (P-reg 2.0 LX) is suffering from identical symptoms - can anyone help please ? Thanks,
