Guest silvermachine Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 After the last service, as usual there were a number of things to put right. One is that the rear wash does not work, having had a look its disconnected from the main wash reservoir (fronts are fine and the wiper arm at the rear is OK). Its ok where the pipe is connected as it goes throught the car (under the platic trim that acts as a scuff plate running by the sill by the front passenger seat area. Thanks Quote
Guest Ian Hampton Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Hello, Don't know if this will help but I had exactly the same symptom, on mine the rubber hose that feeds the rear wiper had blown off after the TEE connector close to the pump. This is located under the front nearside wheel arch. I had to drop down the wheel arch liner reconnect the hose and with the application of a couple of tyraps (suggested on this site) it seems to have held up.Poor design is to blame, the rubber hose just slips over the hard pipe with no bulge or serrations to hold the pipe.I sounds like this is a common problem after servicing, maybe it gets disturbed when they drop the under tray. cheers, Ian :( Quote
Guest silvermachine Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 Thanks for that, will have a go the weekend. The connector inside the car that I mentioned does have a more robust design, so I will see if I can get one and use this. Failing that your solution looks sound Quote
