sudonim Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 i opened the door one day and heard a plop as a screw fell to the floor. i couldn;t see where it had come from so i popped it inot the little "hatch" in the drivers door for safe keeping. a while later the 2d and 3rd screws fell out, and i detectdit was to do with the door hinge... since the last one exited its home the drivers door now no longer stays in the "open position" like it used to... it just wants to swing closed. am i Ok to just try and maneuver to get these screw back in, or do i need to take the door card off? if so - is there anything else i should be checking / maintaining while i have the card out? IIRC there are only two screws that hole the check strap to the door and one shouldered nut and bolt holding the strap to the A post Quote
