Imobilizer Probs

Hi All

My 97 2.3petrol galaxy had a starting problem when i bought it but ran perfectly until i picked up my wife and new baby from hospital at 23.30 and it didnt want to start the red led on drivers door was going mad but car started with a push. then ran ok for a week and then completly imobilised itself RAC man said it was tranceiver coil on ignition switch. and recovered car home. i Popped in to our local ford garage to buy a tranceiver coil but it was wrong one the chap who is there electrics expert said he had never had to change one before and is normally a relay with 30 stamped on it so i checked and changed it and hey presto car is sorted thanks to the electric wiz at Taw Ford .
