family guy Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Hello to all newbie question im afraid..last week my stereo (5000 series 02 galaxy Tdi) died i went to turn it on and nothing happened the screen was just blank tried everything obvious within my limited knowledge such a fuses ect but to no avail asked a mechanic friend and he suggested try to re-input the code but its not asking for a code its just totally died any ideas would be gratfully recieved thanks in advance.family guy. If youre sure you checked the fuse then start by removing the radio head and checking for power at the connector to the radio - also look for a switched power feed there (operated by ignition switch). You need the right tools to remove the radio. Quote
