Stevoo Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Went round my uncles today, he plugged in his autodata diagnostic machine. and found that the MAF sensor was only hitting 3 volts where it should hit 5 volts. we unplugged the MAF and car reved to the limit with no judder or miss fire. Now whats strange is my ecu still says the o2 sensor is at fault. looks like i wasted money replacing it as the MAF is tricking the ecu. So 108.00 later i have a new MAF, just need to fit it and off i go. Quote
marcr Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Let us know if that fixes it. Not sure if i've quite shook mine off or not just yet. Quote
sepulchrave Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) marcr you have an entirely different engine, gearbox and EMS, Stevoo's fix will not necessarily work for you. Edit: marcr, have you replaced the Coilpack, HT leads, Sparkplugs and Lambda probe with all new components? Edited August 4, 2008 by sepulchrave Quote
Stevoo Posted August 5, 2008 Author Report Posted August 5, 2008 UPDATE!!!!!!! its all fixed. car drives perfect and feels very nippy. Whats your problem marcr? missfire? Quote
