raheeliqbal Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 Hi I've got a '98 Seat Alhambra 1.9 Tdi (90). Bought a USB OBDII cable off eBay after reading about Lemmiwinks somewhere. Got cable, installed driver and freeware VAG and Lemmiwinks. I tried connecting to ECU with Lemmiwinks but it could not connect to ECU. It kept coming up with 'bad response: ct9'(?) so I tried connecting with VAG-COM. All OK. Then read that I should remove instrument cluster fuse as this can stop it connecting. I have tried every fuse in the main compartment but to no avail. Occasionally I might get a 'bad response: ct1' but Lemmiwinks will not connect. I tried Uni-settings but basically the same thing happens. Am I being really thick? Is there something else I'm not doing? If there's anyone who would help me, I would be very grateful Cheers Quote
raheeliqbal Posted July 15, 2008 Author Report Posted July 15, 2008 Hmmm... Guess no one has any suggestions then? Am I supposed to have some hardware installed if using Lemmiwinks? I know people can VAG Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra as I've read about them in forums so would appreciate any guidance as to where I might be going wrong. Thanks Quote
raheeliqbal Posted July 16, 2008 Author Report Posted July 16, 2008 Been told Lemmiwinks won't work with Tdi's. Is this correct? Quote
