my 96 doesnt have an alarm either me thinks....

open windows, lock doors...stick arm through windows, rock car, get the kids that are locked in car to try and escape...failing that, stick a sign on car saying no alarm, and wait and see if one goes off when the windows/doors get jimmied.

If its a car that was bound and UK registered then it should have one as I believe all Ghia models had them as standard.

Check for a bonnet switch (Passenger side by scuttle)

Check for B pillar bulges at the top which hide ultrasonics.

Check for a fuse in slot 54 (Check your manual that 54 is correct on your car) which is the alarm horn fuse.

All of the above would indicate an alarm, none of the above would indicate none of the above and probably an import.
