firedwl Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there could help with a vibration coming from the front end of my 2003 1.9tdi galaxy. This vibration occurs when driving say above 50mph in 4th, 5th or 6th gear, it does not come through the steering wheel and it seems to be worse when gently accelorating from this speed. If you take your foot off the gas it goes away only to come back when the accelorator is pressed again, it also does not seem to happen if you floor the pedal also. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Oh one of my mates said it could be a slight misfire but I dont loose any power when the problems happens. Regards Davie. Quote
banjaxed Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 I would say you should have the dual mass flywheel checked out. It might be under the recall as well, if that is the problem. http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/s...025711C004991E6 Quote
Neils TDi again Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 I would first check your drive shafts as they tend to "go off centre" with the torque when they begin to wear severely. Quote

sappers Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Hi , I also have a vibration on my Galaxy 2002 2.8 v6 24v. It vibrates at about 20 mph no matter what gear it is in so I have ruled out a misfire or any gearbox or flywheel problems. I am leaning towards a drive shaft problem as they are the only moving things that speed up in relation to the car speed.Oh and I had my wheels balanced as well. Quote
