Witty Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 Hello all, just registered in the hope that someone can point me in the right direction. Have a '06 Galaxy MkII with an intergrated colour Sat Nav. I'm looking for any France disc (don't care about having the latest, where I'm going the roads haven't changed in 100yrs!!!). I just phoned local Ford dealer and they had great pleasure in telling me it is discontinued and maybe I should phone Blaupunkt..... So, being fairly IT literate I have tried to download the disc, but am struggling to get the SAT NAV unit to read anything I download. Does anyone have any tips or decent links to where I can get it? or better still, does anyone know where I can get an original disc for a decent price (not paying Quote
Smilge Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Witty ....... tried all that and you won't get it it to work unless someone has come up with a way of doing it. Quote
Mirez Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 You can copy them but you need to disable any CRC checking, basically the nav disks have bad sectors WRITTEN deliberately on the discs which is half of the anti copy software - most burners like nero read the bad sectors as bad and wont burn them (check the logs) so you need to ensure you have burning software that is literal clones, warts an all, capable. Witty Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 Thanks for your responses, I have managed to find someone on Ebay who replied with "Yes I have the France disc that will work on that sys" and he's selling for Quote
Witty Posted June 20, 2008 Author Report Posted June 20, 2008 Update for anyone interested I bought a disc off Ebay that worked perfectly for the much more reasonable price of Quote
