marinabrid Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 hi allthis sticking trubo vane thing many folk suffer from, we are moving house soon and the car will only potter around a samll town to school and back and to tesco ,i know the missis wont walk inte rain either !some one mentioned giving the turbo a run once a week t combat the carbon build upjust wondered how far and fast to do this to hopefully keep it running. do you think say a 20 mile round trip at high revs would do the job Quote
searcher Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 Sorry no idea about the turbo problems but just wanted to say i bought a car from Bridlington about three years ago. Whilst on holiday in Filey we were passing through Brid and i noticed a nice Beemer for sale in a garage opposite Tesco so i bought it .Anyway thats enough of my pointless dribble. Quote
Emily's dad Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 This thread covers the sticking vanes issue www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=15484 I am having trouble with my Alhambra, and thought that the vanes were sticking. It's in the Seat dealership at the minute, they have had it for 4 days now and still haven't resolved the problem. That is after having it for 2 days in April where they changed the N75 valve. Makes you wonder if dealers actually have any idea what they are doing.Fortunately mines under warranty so won't cost me a penny. Quote
