Bigjeeze Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 TAKE DOWN the FEEDER! I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it lovingly with seed. It was indeed a beautiful bird feeder. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the bird shit. It was everywhere; on the patio tile, the chairs, the table ... everywhere! Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. Now let's see ..... Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the immigrants came by the million. Suddenly Our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 or more families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by a doctor in a hospital because it is filled with immigrants; your child's class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Its just my opinion but: maybe, just maybe, it's time for the government to take down the damn bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on; if not, continue cleaning up the shit! Quote
tiny Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Fook the bird feeder, lets take down the goverment. Let our green and pleasant land be ours once more. Quote
tiny Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 sounds like racist BS to me. So all those that replied before you are racist just because they do not want to subsidise those who want to migrate to the UK "en masse" and take advantage of heavily subsidised housing, monetary benefits from the government (tax payers) despite no previous financial input from themselves, free healthcare etc, etc. When we can not preach our religion in our own streets(read the news), when our language is not the first language of the majority of children in many of our schools, and when our council tax is paying for literature to be printed in 15 different languages, IS SOMETHING NOT VERY SADLY WRONG?? Racist BS? No just people sick of being taken for fools. Quote
mumble_bee Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 sorry I didnt mean racist BS, now that you've explained your point of view with a more appropriate analogy instead of relating yourselves to human beings and the immigrants to lower life forms... I see now that infact you are spouting Narrow Minded Racist BS. Quote
big_kev Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Do not confuse racism with nationalism they are not the same. For example I am white skinned european ( to use the race terminoliogy)..if I complain about other white skinned europeans coming over here as economic migrants then there is no way that this could be described as racist.....it would be nationalist....eg wanting the best for my country. I live in an area where there are a great percentage of people of Asian descent ( mainly India & Pakistan ).These people are mainly 2nd & 3rd generation since immigrating here and speak perfect English and abide by the laws of the land.....in fact most of them contribute greatly to the wellbeing of the country. If i were to criticise these PURELY on account of their race then this would be racist. Sadly too much is made nowadays of racism and most of the supposed anti-racism laws etc actually promote racism by highlighting the differences. A classic example is the "black" guy who will supposedly be the next president of the USA.This chap has a "white" mother and a "black" father.....therefore he is "black".What utter racism this preaches when obviously he is either neither or both....he can't be one or the other. The only way to get rid of racism is to stop promoting it....stop highlighting what "race" someone is. Anyone using the terms white or black is promoting racist views. Anyone using the term "foreigner" should not be branded a racist purely because of that. Quote
seatkid Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 English is not my first language. No worries, when things go tits up (likely by next Christmas) I can always go back to the father land.......... Pity those poor Scots.....freezing to death without any fuel......... Quote
big_kev Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 That was a quick reply..... Enlighten me....because I am thick... ;) Quote
Bigjeeze Posted June 9, 2008 Author Report Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) sorry I didnt mean racist BS, now that you've explained your point of view with a more appropriate analogy instead of relating yourselves to human beings and the immigrants to lower life forms... I see now that infact you are spouting Narrow Minded Racist BS. I would suggest that you are the one with a narrow minded view - ie your own. Is it beyond your wit or wisdom to understand that other people may have a different view or opinion to yours? Why is it you feel your opinion is the only worthwhile one - what makes you the arbitor of good taste and judgement?I would far rather know what someones opinion is so that I can deal with it than have it repressed and growing more bitter. Yugoslavia is a case in point - for years the issues between the various factions were supressed and hidden - then look what happened the moment they were free to "express" their views. If someone doesn't like Black/coloured/Asian/Chinese/Slavic people that is their loss and their lack of vision - but I still would prefer to know it than not. Freedom of speech works both ways it is not intended only for your point of view but for everyone, whether we like it or not. For your information my wife is black, my three children are coloured. I don't care what colour you are , what nationality or religion you are -or worse what your sexual orientation is -but whichever of these categories people belong to I]DON'T WANT ANYMORE PEOPLE COMING HERE. Thats my opinion - not yours, not necessarily anyone elses - just mine. Edited June 9, 2008 by Bigjeeze Quote

Bigjeeze Posted June 9, 2008 Author Report Posted June 9, 2008 You can take tolerance only so far......I find Homosexuals a pain in the arse - and I don't like any tongue in cheek nonsense either. Quote
mk2vr6 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 ha ha ..... a seemingly funny reply? maybe one of your funniest jokes yet? and yet you dont actually answer the question why is that? Quote
big_kev Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 why is it worse to know his sexual orientation than his race or colour? Race and colour are something you are born with and can do nothing about. Sexual orientation is a moral choice....or possibly an immoral choice depending on you point of view. Sexual orientation ( according to the law ) is something that is only a matter for the individual concerned and no one elses.....don't personally agree with that.....never mind. It would be "worse" in this context to make a note of an immigrants sexuality as ( again according to the law) it has no bearing on the suitability of the person to come into this country. From this point of view you may as well say short or tall people. Race and colour need to be monitored as it is allowable to distinguish between them and discrimination is still legally acceptable in certain circumstances. Quote
Bigjeeze Posted June 9, 2008 Author Report Posted June 9, 2008 ha ha ..... a seemingly funny reply? maybe one of your funniest jokes yet? and yet you dont actually answer the question why is that? I can assure you that I didn't mean to hide from the question - I thought I had answered it in as funny a way as possible. In the original piece I intended to imply that I don't care about race or colour but that I am not too happy about sexual deviance (As in deviance from the norm). I am what I consider, normally heterosexual with no Homosexual leanings, unless you can count the fact that I would like to be a lesbian and shre their activities. I am as tolerant of someone's sexuality as the next person - It is something they are born with and cannot change - I would prefer however, not to know what their particular difference is. You can be what you like - just don't tell me about it or how proud you are to be "it" I am just not interested. Now, if you are female and have nympho tendencies then I am of course all ears. Quote

I have a friend who is a lesbian, she gets fed up with the amount of men who are of the opinion that she needs porking to see what she is missing, or asked if she and her friend will accomodate a male in their midst whilst they are busy. She kinda gets very annoyed when all this is said.Whatever sexual orientation people are doesnt bother me, as it is the person i am friends with, And just coz they happen to bat for the same side as themselves, makes them no less of a person. Damn.....you didn't give me a chance to ask... However I think the sexuality question is really a bloke thing.....its different for girls. Most men get upset/get annoyed/don't understand ( take your pick )about a homosexual male. Women on the other hand see all men as sexual perverts and therefore are less likely to be too bothered about this. Quote

I think you may have missed the point. I said I would like to be a lesbian so that other (real ) lesbians would be interested in me! I appreciate that a real Lesbian wouldn't be any more than a real Homosexual would be interested in a woman. It was a joke. I find lesbianism just as difficult to understand as the other version. Again it is their business not mine and as you rightly say a friend is a friend regardless of orientation. Quote
