No Underfloor Storage In Boot Of 2008 And 1/2 Spec Mkiii 2.0 Tdci Ghia

Hello All,

 

We have recently taken delivery of a 2008 and 1/2 spec (according to the dealer) MKIII 2.0 TDCI Ghia Galaxy and it doesn't have underfloor storage at the back of the boot, as we saw in all of the cars we looked at in showrooms, etc. The dealer cannot explain this (despite being a main dealer). Does anyone know why this is? Is it an error/fault?

Can you expand? I have the same car and can't understand what 'space' you could be refering too? I can't see how you could have 'storage space' with the fold flat seats.

The rear air conditioning unit takes up the space that would otherwise be the storage area - have a look from underneath the car.

Thanks Andy, that makes a lot of sense as the car does have that. Pity the dealer couldn't explain that!

 

Also, thanks for your reply Nick - the space is behind the seats and so it is still accessible when the seats are down.
