marinabrid Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 hi alli was playiing around experimanting with the vag com i opened the central elecs pod and it showed this fault left indicator short to B+ intermittent.all the indicators work fine on the left side and with the hazard flasher as well. any ideas on this one ? what is the B+ meaning, is it a terminal on the light cluster maybe. thanks Quote
Mirez Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 B+ Seems to relate to the supply voltage, Ie, its not shorted to ground but to 12v instead... Quote
marinabrid Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 sorry bit dim, it cant be shortng to live 12v can it, any ideas on how to check the problem to cure it ? the winkers seems to work fine .thanks Quote
Mirez Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Yeah I didn't fully understand that myself, all I can imagine is its more the signal side of things then the actual circuit side. Personally if things are working I'd reset the error and see what happens.... it could also have been in the past? Quote
marinabrid Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 have reset and cleared the code and after driving the car for a while the indicaters work fine but the fault returns each time Quote
cos140 Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 have reset and cleared the code and after driving the car for a while the indicaters work fine but the fault returns each time Well, i have a very similar fault with my Galaxy. Mines a Mk2 2001 Ghia trim. But i actually HAVE a fault ! My indicators, indicate right, all working fine, indicate left and it MAY work but 85% of the time the flasher relay just clicks fast with no bulbs lighting up ! Now and again it will work for a few flashes then revert back to the quick clicking and with no illumination. It has the same problem on the Hazards. Ive tries all the bulbs, connectors, fuses, relay is soldered onto fusebox. Its very very intermittant and very very annoying !! I have not yet put it on a fault diagnosis machine reader yet. Just wandering if anyone has had a similar problem? Not sure where to start looking for an intermittant B+ fault ? Could be anywhere ! Quote
