Can some one help?

It all starred when I had a stop sign come up as engine was overheating, and then cut out untill engin had cooled ( The AA recovery man said it was water pump)

I went to a garage who said it was a blocked radiator; they then said it needed a new water pump as well as the hot water had broken the plastic fan in the pump.

When they put the car back together they said the car was running bad so they replaced the fuel filters, then the fuel pump and sender unit.

All in all this took a week to complete the work.

When I got the car back it was very sluggish, after a week the car started to buck on acceleration and lost power going uphill. I booked the car in to fords, who afet having the car for 2 dys said they could not find the problem and suggested that I have the engine stripped and have the timing tested at a huge cost to myself but they could not be sure it would work! But that would be the next stage..

The car runs fine around town but as soon as I need to accelerate over 30mph it starts to buck.

On the flat it will go fine at 70mph.

Can any one help?

Hummmm to remove the water pump you need to remove the timing belt... if its not been timed back correctly then you could experience the symptoms you have - I would be taking it back to the original garage as its obviously not fixed!
