El Dingo Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 I woud imagine that owners of such vehicles would want to sign a petition to have this unfair tax hike removed. The petiton can be found at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk Quote
seatkid Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 (edited) Mk1 owners need not fret since their cars were built before 2000. :) I've never seen an online petition that has ever had the slightest effect. (They just log the poster's details and file under "potential troublemaker....") Edited May 25, 2008 by seatkid Quote

gio Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Roadtax will be going up for everyone,as it does each year anyway. pre 2001 cars don't use the co2 rating system, so for now when you compare pertol engined galaxies the pre 2001 have a better deal. Diesels, thats slightly different as the post 2001,s have the edge on the pre 2001,for this year and i believe next year too? Then in 2010,not so good. But i believe that whatever government is in charge then, pre 2001 cars might find new tax rules will pump up thier ratings too. I do not see the piont in these patitions, they don't do anything and the wheels are in motion for All cars to be rated on CO2. So i cannot see what people will be patitioning for? Quote

El Dingo Posted July 11, 2008 Author Report Posted July 11, 2008 Bonk.(It's like a bump, but nicer.) So it's in the news now. If you want to have your voice heard, and not just sit there and take a shafting, why not sign the petition? big_kev Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Personally I would just prefer to hang the current government for treason. Quote
