Tram Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Sorry Tram ... it's not just a matter of "adding" up the Binary code but the looking at the overall spectrum generated by using an SSB waveform. When you modulate the carrier using a pseudo random bit sequence the pulse width and therefore the PRF will constantly change. This has the effect of shifting the frequency of the lines in the power spectrum and also the rate of amplitude variation. Thanks for that Bleeno, I'll not pretend to understand all that but except for the word 'pseudo' it all sounds feasible. I added it all up wrong anyway; :) I am miles out.
