Hi Steve

First question, have you tried "giggling" the steering wheel about a bit?, as usually won't turn if the steering lock is in place !

but to remove the barrel, if it is the same as most you have to drill out the "sheer"bolts, then replace the barrel with new(and

keys)

if it was me, I would try and get some lock oil, or get a pencil and rub on glass paper, and some how blow the dust down the

keyhole and try and free it off !!(do't use WD40 or anything like that, its corosive)

hope that helps

depending on what part you actually want to remove? the ignition switch unclips from the rear or the housing and to remove the lock barrel you drill a 4 mm hole in the correct spot insert the key and turn it, then stick a screw driver in the hole to release the latching pin and pull it out, Galaxy's dont have sheer bolts! the ignition switch houseing is a push fit job! to remove it you need to remove the steering wheel, clock spring etc from the steering column then drift it off Edited by mk2vr6
