Guest DJN Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Does anyone have experience of fitting a telephone with the Sat Nav? A screen in the menus allows you to choose the telephone but I haven't seen one anywhere. Quote
Guest disney_cjd Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I am picking up a C Max on Wednesday with the DVD touchscreen sat nav system and the Ford telephone hands free kit. What the dealer told me (and he is actually quite good) is that Ford have to change teh arial and add the wiring for the phone and they (the dealer) add the cradle for the spcific handset. You will then have to access the phone by pressing the phone menu on the sat nav. Hope this helps. Craig Quote
Dally Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 DJN I have fitted a Sony Ericsson HCB-30 Bluetooth car kit to my galaxy and the sound is integrated through the unit. The whole set up is really great and works well. All you see is a mic on the headlining console and a multi switch that has been installed on the floor console. When a call rings or a call is made, the sat nav/radio mutes and indicates a call (PHONE) on both the sat nav display and the centre instrument display. If voice tags are stored and activated (as are on mine), the caller name will be sounded too. The ford kit cannot compete with it and is very much more expensive. If I get a moment later, I might take a couple of pics to show the install. Quote
