Hi Everyone,

We have just bought a new Galaxy 2.0 TDCi. :) We really like the car and works well for us - if it wasn't for the following problem. :P

So this is my first post here. Great site - so Hi All.

The problem we are having after 2 months and 2000 miles is the Traction Control Light comes on and the engine malfuntion comes on....... And then the car goes into limp home mode.

There seems no connection to journey length or environmental factors (i.e cold/wet, warm etc....)

It has been back to Dagenham Motors in Epsom who said there was a turbo overrun problem and that they had reset the error??

They also did 2 firmware upgrades. This was only last week. Took it out on Saturday no problems.

On Monday 2 short journeys (5 miles each) problem reoccured on both journeys. and seems to be continuing. My Wife is getting a bit stressed about breaking down etc.....

So its back in at the end of the week.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem (i've done a quick search - seems noone has posted about it). And you have had - was there a solution?

Any observations greatfully received.

kind regards

I can't actually advise you what the remedy for the problem is but I can advise you about removing an agravating factor.....................don't take it back to Dagenham Motors at Epsom if you can help it!

I bought mine from them, they lied about the delivery date and I caught them out and they payed for the 1st service as a result. I had problems with the car and it was hard getting them to take it back and sort it out.

When it had its 1st service there they couldn't even be bothered to put a stamp in the service book or give me a breakdown of what work done / parts replaced in the service despite more than one request.

If I were you I'd take it elsewhere such as Dees (Purley). When I took mine in for a recall they were quite efficient and did what they said they would in the timeframe they gave.
