Bigjeeze Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Can someone tell me if I have the correct battery? My battery is definitely a lead one complete with PB symbol - Yet my handbook insists it should be Calcium (Ca) It's a 2001/2 Mk2 TDi. If it is incorrect it could have been fitted by a garage yet I had had the thing from new and don't remember any faults witht the battery. Any ideas? Quote
ondra Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 They insist on lot of things:-). I`ve got a lead acid one as well. Can`t see a problem there.. Quote
tiny Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) According to this previous post the Ca (Calcium/lead) batteries were fitted from 09.99. They still contain lead, hence the Pb symbol. The old batteries were marked Sb and are a Lead/antimony battery. Ca Batteries Edited April 29, 2008 by tiny Quote
