Guest John J Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Where is the best place to get touch up paint for minor chips and scratches? I'm looking for the small pain dispenser with a brush, not a spray can. I also read somewhere that you can buy paint film that you can apply over the whole scratch, a bit like a transfer. Does anyone else know about this. My Gal is Fleurie red, and Halfords don't appear to stock it. Is it just Fords that will have it or does anyone know of any other stockist that sells something better or cheaper. Cheers. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Genuine Ford touch-up sticks are cheaper than Halfords, got my Ford 2-part metallic plus lacquer for about Quote
Guest Paul Collins Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Over a series of cars, I've found that you can't beat the manufacturer for touch up paint. Give them the VIN number and they can order a touch up stick. The touch up for my Sharan was cheaper than other makes and is a very good match, shame I can't use it over the whole bonnet  Much cheaper than a body shop (upwards of Quote
