Dunney Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Hi. I go to continental europe and get fed up taping over the lights to stop dazzle. I have seen headlight covers for other cars that can be taken on and off, to which one could fix deflectors. Haven't seen them for a Mk3 Galaxy. Has anybody seen these available as these would save a lot of aggro. Alternatively, does anyone know if you can rummage around the back of the h/light unit to change the beam direction. Have never been able to understand why we have to use deflectors and why manufacturers dont build in a mechanism to allow the bulb position to be changed as that is all that is dictating the direction of the dip. I had a motorbike in the 70s that managed this by simply taking the bulb out, moving a little toggle and re-inserting the bulb at a different angle and instantly the dip went right not left. jottiecat Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Hi, Despite my local dealer saying that they could not help & I'd have to buy deflectors from Halfords, I've just hit success. I contacted the Ford Technical Information Centre directly on 0906 5533447. (Please note that this is a premium rate line and calls are charged at Quote
jottiecat Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Worked a treat. However be warned the templates are mislabeled. Follow the sequence of the pictures shown in the initial instructions & you will be fine. Ie. pages 3 & 4 for LHD, and pages 5 & 6 for RHD. Quote
