traff Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 please help! i own a 53 plate 1.9 tdi 110kw galaxy,and i have a small oil leak.on the auto gearbox. it is comming from the filler cap.i am unsure but think its a tamper proof item.so far i must have lost about half a pint of oil over my drive.how do i check the oil level,does this cap have a dip stick included,if i pull cap off ,will it go back on.and what grade /type of oil/amount, would this box take? i am capable of most repairs,but in the absence of a haynes manuel,im lost , ive never come across a set up like it. ps. i think the cap must be faultyor at least i hope its that simple, why else would it leak? regards traff.
