italiastar Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 I sometimes get a noise from I believe under the rear of the car for about a minute after I've parked the car. At first I thoght it might be a lock, but checked and all doors are closed (or in the case of today not even opened - except the driver's) It sounds like a pump - could it be the fuel pump? It's not related to whether the car is hot or cold - used on a long run or just a rew minutes - Any ideas. I also sometimes get a rgular rubbing noise when I start it some times - it seems to be coming from the front - not related to engine speed, the car moving or air con being switched on. Is this the start of the many features becoming apparent? On the subject of noises, what is the aircraft turbine noise from under the car when idling. As mine is parked in the garage I get this everytime I start up and "shut it down" Quote
MrT Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 On mine there is some cooling fan on electrical equipment that runs for a while after the ignition has been turned on. Not sure where it is, but the sound is just like a PC-laptop fan. Quote
