peter.soper Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 [Re-posted in correct forum] I am about to order a new Galaxy as a company car. Ford have been excellent with loan vehicles (2), and in my opinion, this is the best driving, best built and most refined full sized 7 seat MPV available today. The loan vehicles I had both had the old Satnav system. I see from the new brochure/price list there is a new touch screen version. Some questions: 1. What type of display does it give when driving? Is it a top down map view, or a more 'driver oriented' 3d type view, a la Tomtom etc?2. How does it handle traffic reports? From what I saw of the old system, you could look up the traffic incident reports, but it did not seem to integrate with the planned route3. On the one or two screen shots I have seen, there seems to be some sort of cursor on the screen?4. Any general comments on the system? I am used to a Tomtom One XL - excellent functionality, inc traffic reports via RDS-TMC, but wires everywhere, and small screen - is it worth the extra co car tax on the Quote

On the one or two screen shots I have seen, there seems to be some sort of cursor on the screen? One of the options is to select a location from the map and there are 8 arrows to move the map. I can't think of any cursor and it is NOT mouse controlled 4. Any general comments on the system?
