Hi,

sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm in a bit of a state.

Had my 2.8 Gal in for MOT this morning and it's fail on emmisions.

It's not long since had a lamber sensor fitted and the tester did say that lamber readings were fine.

What could the causes be?

Any help would be great as I need her taxed and tested for friday.

Thanks

Seeing as no-one has got back to me I'm guessing no-one else has suffered this.

The car was also suffering a slight misfire in low revs (below 3k) when under load. So have today changed all 6 plugs and HT leads, and although this has improved things, hasn't completely cured the misfire.

My coil pack is baking nicley in the oven as we speak, so all being well in the morning it may well be cured.

If not, is anyone local to Oxford that has a spare coil pack I could try before rushing out and buying one?

I'm guessing that the misfire could well be connected to the high emmisions as the MOT guy did say that it was smelling of unburt fuel a little and that that could lead to the high readings.

give it a quick coat of epoxy resin to reseal it once its dry, also clean the throttle body and the intake hoses, remove any oil residue from the hoses and when did you last change the oil and air filter? then give it a real good run and get it hot before the retest, blow the crap out the engine/exhaust
