Hallo

Told you it wouldnt be long before I posted a new topic.

I have an 04 1.9Tdi Galaxy. The cruise control was fixed when I first bought it (something to do with the ECU) and has been working fine. However recently it has been turning off when I indicate . It resets again straight away after and carries on. Although not a catastrophe it is annoying.

I have tried looking for a thread that I am sure i found when I had the original problem but I cant find it again.

I realise it could just be a dodgy wire or something but any suggestions on how i can fix it?

Cheers

Sounds like a dodgey stalk mate, maybe a loose wire in it.

Try talking steering column off and check for any loose wires or any play in stalk.

I had the same problem last year in my 1998 galaxy but the cruise control stopped working altogether after 6 months. Today I am going to dismantle the stering stalk and will let you know.

Fixed It.. Took the stalk off by removing the steering wheel, top and botton covers. Found that the brown wire at the indicator and cruise stalk had broken. Soldered it and now it works. Carefull when pulling th steering wheel off as there is a wire that needs to be disconnected about 12inches from the wheel.

Best of Luck
