Guest nimrod Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Glad you like it Dave, I was going to get broad band, but one the things was that they stop your dial up account and dont credit you what you have paid for! so I went loopy and burnt up most of my hours just surfing :) found loads of useless stuff including this french guys site :) do a google search for Galaxy, Sharan and Alhambra theres loads of stuff out there but you have to shift through a lot of junk to find the good stuff! oh, and now they tell me I cant have broad band as I'm over 5.5 km from the exchange and have to much loss on the line :) and no hours left to surf with DOHHHH!!!!!!!!!! :D oh well, only a couple of days to go before the clocks reset :) Quote
Guest dumpie Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 :) nimrod all ive done is change the springs 4 40mil uprated eibach 1s ithink the reason u need coilovers 4 a 60mil drop is the car settles 20mil with the weight so 60 becums 80mil & i think the ford shocks would bottom out i now ave a 50mil gap at the front & 60 at the back the ride is great so far ill let u no if it changes the v6 is a stiffer ride than the other galaxys ive owned anyway....i can just feel the road a bit more now & its great takes me back 2 my 360cub in powered v8 ford pop i had in the 80s lovly the mrs & the kids think im tapped........... Guest nimrod Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Dumpie I've found a UK company that do FK Highsport and Konisport coil over kits for the Galaxy! they also do their own branded name kits along with Spax PSX kits consisting of springs, uprated shocks, bump stops and shock covers :) on all my cars that I've lowered I've done both the shocks and springs as a matching set as well as having all the camber angles checked and the rear brake bias valve adjusted to suit the new ride height! that way I get a decent ride quality and the rear end only locks up under extreme pressure :D once I have my Golf back on the road :) I think its time for the Galaxy to be off the road for a couple of days :) now how low do you think I could go? my golfs virtually on the floor as it is! could I get the Galaxy as low?:) Quote
