Took about 20 minutes or so and a wee bit fiddly getting into a couple of the screws. Good oem quality from this supplier. There's a "how to" guide on here somewhere. http://www.allpartssouthwest.com/acatalog/...2000___294.html Edited March 13, 2008 by Deanoecosse Quote
gregers Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 visit your local breakers yard or try ebay, get a price from the dealers so you can compare. Quote

mk2vr6 Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 2002 model IIRC? so a bit more than three nuts! the panel under the light unit has to come off as well IIRC? as there is a screw under there as well Quote
Mikef Posted March 14, 2008 Author Report Posted March 14, 2008 Thanks Guys, that site looks reasonably priced. Getting home last night, the broken unit is the part of the light thats in the rear door on a 2002 Galaxy...the 'inner' bit that has the foglight. I'm guess ng thats a bit more tricky to get to as I must have to remove part of the door lining. I'll hunt around for a 'hopw to' but maybe it's time to go look see if there is a Haynes manual for the Gal! Cheers for the replies mike Quote

Cheers for the replies mike I'm sure that site I sent a link to has those units aswell (it was the outer one in the rear wing that I replaced on mine.) but I think they are a little more expensive. When I was getting prices from breakers they were a gtood bit more expensive than buying brand new from that site and Frauds was well over Quote

Mikef Posted March 15, 2008 Author Report Posted March 15, 2008 Thanks again. I just found that Haynes don't do a manual for a post 2000 Galaxy, Maybe I'll have to look at those dodgy CDs... Not sure how easy it is to get to the fog light housing, hopefully if the weather holds I will have a go tomorrow cheers mikef Quote
mk2vr6 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 there are two acess panels in the rear hatch interior panel, remove the one you need to get to, unplug it, undo the fixings and it should pop out? Quote
