Ice Advice - What Do You Think Of These?

Hi everyone

 

After looking at all the fab pics of other people's ICE installations I've been browsing Ebay and come across these...to me they make sense as there is no wiring needed for sound and no separate dvd player required and one of them even has a TV tuner. So are they any good? Let me know what you think please?

The problem with them is most people choose to fit them in the middle of the roof, then when the screen is down it obscures your view from your rear view mirror

by the time you have someone in the middle seat and/or bike rack /bikes on the back the rear view mirror is like a chocolate teapot anyway - I now use the door mirrors anyway - you get used to it very quickly

Hmm hadn't occurred to me at all - I removed the middle seat headrest for that very reason...trouble is if you install into the front headrests then the rear seats cant see either and you end up with screens all over the car. I wanted to get away with just the one. I'll go and stick something on my roof the same size and see how it affects me, I might be ok as I'm short but my dh might have an issue with it.

Did you decide which DVD sytem to get or is it on the back burner like most of my ideas ;)

Erm ;) ...sizzling nicely on the back burner at the mo, need some cash flow before I can continue.

 

Still don't know if they are any good so will have to do a bit more research elsewhere.

You can get them cheap on Ebay.

why even go there stick to a UK based company that allows you comeback, there are plenty of them out there that offer the same products or even better if you can be arsed to look!
