Littlematt_2007 Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Well hello again everyone, ive always kept the site on my favourites so that i could return one day, As some of you may remember when i first joined the site we had a 2005 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6i Breeze. We then were looking around for a new car and intened gettign a galaxy or sharan a.k.a a mkII, we then however madly bought a 2005 Renault Espace 2.2 dci Expression, and after 11 months of ownership we were sick of teh removable seats and 22mpg fuel consumption so we decided to go looking again. Two weeks ago we collected the enw car which we are well and truly in love with, she is a 2007 Ford Galaxy Ghia 2.0 TDCi finsihed in kelp metallic, with full napoli perforated leather in charcoal, which in my opinion looks the dogs. I thought i would include some pictures of the new car so yoan all see what it looks like. Well with out further a due, here are the pics. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/01.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/02.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/03.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/04.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/05.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p110/mattywatsit_2007/06.jpg The pictures were taken after i have the car a full 4 hour detail two days after we got her, we had done just under 200 miles this point. I am pleased to report that we are getting 38.7mpg as posed to 22mpg in the espace. After nearly 2 weeks of ownership we are still going wow. Mods to the car so far:- 3.5mm to 3.5mm Aux cable- 3.5mm to I-pod connection Aux Cable- Chrome numberplate holders, Front & Rear- Non Slip Mat under handbrake (For phone to sit on) Possible mods are:- Permenant Rear Roof Bars- Ford Contoured Mudflaps Thanks for reading, more pictures to come soon. Littlematt_2007 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 I cant seem to edit my first post, and i forgot to say we got the brink detachable towbar with twin leccys fitted the day after picking the car up. Please comment guys & Girls..... Quote
mumof4 Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 well hun. you sound well chuffed with her and so you should..she looks loverly.and everyone on here knows i dont like the bloomin things so your honoured :D anyway, get yer mum or dad on here to let us know how she drives :D any probs at all with her? enjoy hun, knew youd come to us in the end, and its been a long old wait fer yer  Quote
Littlematt_2007 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 Thanks Maz, pleased to hear you like her. My mam loves drving the new galxy, she said it drives like a car rather than a van like the espace did. We havent had any problems yet, The seetign position is great, as it has an electrically adjustable chair and the gear stick is in a great place. The Gearbox however is odd to get used to as 1st and third gears are very close together and they are very easy to get mixed up. My parents dont do forums so im writing purely on what they have said. The galaxy should egt its ultimate test on friday, as we are tkaing our 23 foot Abbery Avantage SL 6 berth caravan to leyburn and we hevnt slotted the towbar in much nevermind towing with her. It should be good anyways providing we get away. Thanks for the warm welcome again. Regards,Matthew Quote
mumof4 Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 i gotta say hun, that last pic is a corker!! has it been edited? which part were you focused on?was it the front right wing?( left as you look at the pic) and your very welcome. Quote
Littlematt_2007 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 (edited) Hi Maz, All pictures were taken with my Sony Alpha A100 DSLR and Sony 18 - 70mm AF lens, all of the pictures have been resized, framed and reg plates smudged out in Photoshop CS3. The last picure was taken before i fitted teh chrome numberplate holders and it was edited in Photoshop CS3 by selecting around the car and adding a slight blur to the background. I peronally like the effect. When i originally took the picture i used spot focus on my camer and focused on the left headlight. More pics to coem after another detail and possible polish/wax. Smilge Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 Nice pictures Matt and welcome back. I do love the colour but to be honest I still prefer the Mk2 shape. The 2.0L TDCi is a lovely engine and it will be interesting to hear how she gets on with towing the van at the weekend. Quote
