popeye2755 Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Hi all, just had one of the front tyres changed at KwikFit. When I got hone I noticed that the new tyre is rated at 95H, while all the others are rated ay 97H. Is the new tyre OK to use? Cheers Quote
mumof4 Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 yes its fine, as long as it is reinforced or Xtra load. Quote
popeye2755 Posted March 10, 2008 Author Report Posted March 10, 2008 Thanks Mo4, it's reinforced, just wasn't sure about the load rating. Cheers Quote
mikej Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Cannot see there being a problem , 97H would be better if fully laden all the time i suppose . My own gal has 95H rated dunlops 2020's all round , am sure others will soon let you know ! The only thing i would not be happy with is mixed tyres ( tread patterns) especially on the front , i personally would put it on the rear and bring one with the same pattern to the front but thats just me . If you decide to do this don't forget to alter the air pressure .mike. Quote
popeye2755 Posted March 10, 2008 Author Report Posted March 10, 2008 Hi Mike, the mixed tyre pattern did cross my mind, but as it's a company car, I'm in the hands of the lease company. In fact, both front tyres needed replacing, and they only authorised for one to be replaced, and used the spare as a front tyre, and a put a worn one back as the spare. So now I have a barely legal spare! John Quote
