My New 18" Wheels & Lowering Springs

I was not planning on doing any external mods to my new mk2 galaxy... Until I saw this thread!! Now when I look at mine, I can see how high it rides and how far inboard in standard wheels sit.

18" wheels and lowering is now on the cards. Thanks guys!! :/

As to the ride, as someone who used to modify cars for a living, if you use just the springs to lower the vehicle, the ride quality shouldn't be spoilt but with the 18's, there will be less give in the sidewall of the tyre so it may be a little harsh. If in doubt, go for 17" wheels with a 235/45x17 tyre. Ride will be much nicer on these and handling should be improved.
