searcher Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 (edited) For some strange reason the two rear outside door handles have lost their springyness (nice word)In other words when you open the door from the outside the handle doesnt spring back in very well.Sometimes when the kids yank it open as they do you even have to push it back in.Is there any adjustment on them or do i have to replace a spring or something. Its only the rear doors as the fronts are fine Any ideas or thoughts folks Adrian. Smilge Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Hi Ade ....never had that problem before but if you remember how to remove the handles by removing the screw and armed with some WD40, I would be tempted to give a liberal spray around the door mechanisms which will save having to remove the door cards if it works. searcher Posted March 4, 2008 Author Report Posted March 4, 2008 Sorry but been there done thatYou can tell by pulling the handle out slowly there is hardly any tension there to spring it back in again. Its not a major problem as long as it doesnt get any worse Ade. Quote
kmac Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 There is a spring which may have become rusty and less "springy". However, if you went to a Fruads they will tell you to replace the entire handle - front door ones with lock barrel andkeys are Quote
