Hello everybody, just wondering if my steering is knackered.... Did a change of aux belt with tensioner etc. last week (Thanks for all the help) and now my steering feels funny - it seems to be knotchy and not smooth like it was before. I did route the belt wrong ( As per TIS ) at first for about 2 mins.. could this of caused the problem as the P/S pump was turning the wrong way or is there a chance of air in the system?? if so can it be bled? Thanks in advance as always ---- cheers guys

try bleeding the system, with the engine running for a few minutes leave the wheels straight, then turn the wheels from lock to lock and hold at full lock for 10 seconds at each side, check the fluid level and top up if needed

Hi guys.... just an update really - still not happy with steering at all, still feels like your fighting against it when you move the wheel a little - it feels rough - could i have knackered the steering pump by having it run backwards or should i try draining the fluid and refilling?? It just feels different to how it was before the aux belt slipped off. Don't really fancy leaving it to frauds so any help or advice is always warmly received cheers guys.!
