Replace Suspension Bushes '53 Plate 1.9tdi 130 Galaxy

Hi, after an approximate price to replace suspension bushes on my wifes' 53 plate Galaxy. My wife said she heard 'bangs' coming from underneath when going over speed bumps etc and a phonecall to local ford garage suggested this may be the problem (it's booked in for next Wednesday).

 

Question is, how much will it cost?

It will be the anti-rollbar extensions not the bushes. They are about

Cheers - I'll take a look at them this afternoon. Called local auto factors and they have them for

Bushes! No chance. My Galaxy R reg with 180,000 miles has not had any bushes replaced nor the CV boots. Must be the drop links as described above. Cheap and easy to do.

As a cautionary note, I have just had to replace the n/s front wishbone rear bush as it had torn right through.

However it's a very easy thing to visually inspect with the steering on full lock.

The o/s is damaged too, but it can wait until the weather improves.

Having read several posts about this issue, it would appear that some motor factor links fail prematurely and people have turned to genuine parts. It's a personal thing though.
