OK, not very technical, and very easy to check, but 'er indoors has the car and I need to know quickly as I am looking to buy one of those telescopic wheel spanners in Lidl. Yeah, the ones that can remove the bolts that tyres fitters put on much too tightly with air guns.

My guess is 19 or 21 mm, but want to check just in case its 23 and the spanner won't fit.

They usually come with a (small) range of sockets.

You could always drive to Lidl and check it before you buy it. Check also that the locking wheel nut is the same size as the others; it should be, but it has been known ...

Can't drive to Lidl - don't have the car. I even have one of the spanners in the boot of my car, but forgot to check this morning. The size of the spanners is 19 or 21 mm.

Someone must know the answer?

 I ASSUMED THERE WERE ONLY TWO POPULAR SIZES,BOTH OF WHICH ARE CATERED FOR WITH THESE TELESCOPIC WRENCHES, AS THEY HAVE A SPECIAL DOUBLE ENDED SOCKET WITH TWO SIZES.

MINE FITS OK...IF IN DOUBT TRY ONE, AND IF USELESS, TAKE IT BACK.

As per Andy F - it's definitely not as big as 23mm. Got mine in Tesco for about 6 quid. Locking wheel nut adapter is same size as the normal wheelnuts.

It certainly should be. I was stuffed (puncture, middle of nowhere, no tool kit) once because some idiot had put on a locking wheel nut with a different size nut   (it was not a factory fit). Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
