Slayerkr Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 I was wondering if anyone could help with why I try and use my rear washer jet and it comes out of the front jets at half pressure!! It is a 1998 Galaxy GLX Quote
suzuki91 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 what happens with the front jets? are the hoses on the wrong connectors from the pump? Quote
Slayerkr Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 Yeah sorry should've mentioned the front jets work fine and you can hear the motor working just the fluid comes out at half pressure through the front jets Quote
suzuki91 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 i would guess then that the hoses are connected wrong and the washers are sharing a feed. Quote
theaberdonian Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 It may be that the rear jets are blocked - try a thin pin or if no alternative remove and clean. Quote
mk2vr6 Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 it's more like the valve block on the pump has failed? as one pump feeds both the front and rear washers, sounds like the valve has worn/blocked open slightly and is allowing fluid to flow to the front when the pump is running in reverse Quote
shahed Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 who did you buy the car off ? some1 seems to have connected it wrong. i wonder is it coz it didnt work (rear jet).... any passenger frontside puddles? Quote
mk2vr6 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 would be very hard to connect it wrong! there are only two hoses and two spigots to connect to, as I said earlier it's most likely the vavle block on the pump that has failed/worn and is allowing blow past when opererated, hence the low pressure out of the front jets when the rear is selected!
