hi can any 1 help me i was driving home from work 2 day , i stop at a round about 2 give way, but when i tried 2 pull away there was a big bang that come from under the front of my car it sounded like i hit a wall , i could not pull away , put it in gear and there was nothing , so got towed home but there was a banging noise coming from the lift side under the passager seat , i can put the car in all its gears easy ,it just will not move , and it ticks over ok no bad sounds ,i had a new clutch put in 13 months ago , what could this be and what was the bad banging nosie when i was towed,

I don't know about the drive shaft issues. But

 

My wife was driving our gal about 3 months ago out in the middle of nowhere in the dark in devon and no phone signal.

and she heard a load bang and then nothing , you could have the car running and put it into any gear without using the clutch.

Got it towed to garage and found out the next day that the clutch had just exploded clutch springs everywhere.

I know you said you had a new clutch fitted already but it could be a faulty one sorry!

The drive shaft problem is likely. I was on the M23 doing about 70, restored the cruise control, bang, revs shot up into the red & no drive. Had to be towed and get a new left hand drive shaft! ED
