MattyD Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Hi folks, I need to stick a replacement GPS antenna on my sat-nav. Every posting I've read seems to imply that it's just a matter of fitting it under the dash. However, when I take out the MFD and the little boxes on the top of the dash, and even the clock, I can see nowhere to fit it from where I can then get a wire back to the MFD. it's a 2001 galaxy Ghia. Any suggestions which don't involve removing the whole dash? Matt Quote
NikpV Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 not absolutely sure where you are trying to get through but you can drop a wire down from the central cubby to behind the climate unit above the center console, you need to remove the lid and unscrew the lining of the cubby - torx screws IIRC hole is on the RHS Quote
Gadgetoid Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 I routed the GPS 'horsepill' aerial out from behind the radio, wire along the top back of the glovebox, then sat it under the plastic by the small quarter light in the left front wing. The other place if you have a magnetic base on your aerial is on top of the crash bar that runs the width of the dash. Hope that helps Quote
