Discontinued Colour

[why me]

Hi i have just found and joined this site,

I have been wanting a galaxy for some years now and finally i have enough grandchildren to justify getting one to her who must be obeyed,

I ordered one from my local dealer a few weeks ago colour blue ambition, Well he phoned last week and said ford have now discontinued this colour and i would have to choose between black, white, silver, green, or Grey, Having owned black and white cars in the past i know how hard they can be to keep clean so i had to go for the sea Grey,

I was wondering if there is any way i can check with ford as to whether this statement is true as i feel i am being spun little fib by the sales rep.

If the colour is still available i will want a bigger discount on my car and a big apology from the sales rep, Could anybody help please

try ringing another dealers and asking them, it's still available via the ford web site!

These are the colours for the back end of 2008

Tonic, Blue Ambition, White Grape, Machine Silver, Deep Navy are all deleted, and will be replaced by new colours: Chill(a silvery gold colour!), Morello (aubergine), Hypnotic Silver, and solid paint Blazer Blue

Thanks for the advice but already rung another dealer i was treated with suspicion and only got maybe answers, My dealer swears the colour i want as already been discontinued

Hi - yes it has been discontinued. I picked up my new Galaxy a couple of weeks ago, and was talking with the salesman about his previous customers who had just ordered a new Galaxy. They wanted Blue Ambition, but he could not factory order it for them as it had been discontinued. In the end they had to purchase a vehicle from dealer stock - and apparently there were only 2 in the country - both 1.8TDCi & with Ghia X packs.

 

If you want a blue Galaxy, I noticed Archers of Ashby had 2.0TDCi Ghia in Ink Blue in stock a couple of days ago. Std spec.

I have just ordered S-MAX and strugling with the colours (wanted tonic, but it is discontinued). I know placed order to CHILL based on small piece of plastic. Anyone seen any pictures of ford

Hi, I'm looking at a new Galaxy 2.0 tdci ghia in either panther black or chill. Can't find a decent image of a galaxy in chill anywhere. My heart says black but my head says chill! Any images of a galaxy in Chill would be appreciated :16:

If you use the configurator on the Ford website (http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/configurator/-/car_config_iapp/-/-/-/-) you can see the colour there.

Thanks but its still a computer generated image of the colour. Id like and actual picture of one in natural light if at all possible but cheers for the reply :16:

Probably better to go around your local Ford Dealers and try to view the colour on any stock they have (they might have Mondeos or S-MAXs in the same colour).
