chezzy1955 Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Hi all, the insulation on the low tension lead going to one of my coil packs has completely fell apart, right up to the plug that goes on to the coil. Has anyone ever had to replace one of these leads, and if so were did you get it from, as my local Ford dealer says you cant buy just the cable and plug. Or can anyone tell me the best way to repair it. Thanks in advance for any help. Quote
Beyond Help? Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 (edited) I would be inclined to cut it further down and sleeve it with an approprate material before soldering the wire back together (using a small bridge if needed) and covering the soldered joint with heat shrink tubing.
