TimsBamma Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Hi My rear wash jet doesn't.... I know the pump in the wash bottle at the front of the car works and water comes out there. And I've needled the jet at the wiper arm. Now I'm getting no water leaks in the car but I've not found a way of seperating any of the water pipe joints. The obvious one to try and disconnect is the joint onto the rear wash wipe motor on the tail gate. has any one done this? I didn't want to get too violent with mine in case I bust it. Any thoughts gratefully received. Quote
Charlie Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Have you looked in the front passenger footwell for a leak? Remove the trim from the inner cill and you should find the pipe there, you will find the pipe is jointed at this point and it is very common for it to pull apart. I remove the tailgate trim first when mine wasn Quote
TimsBamma Posted February 15, 2008 Author Report Posted February 15, 2008 I'm confident that it isn't in footwell as the jet hasn't worked since I bought the car 20months ago, never had an issue with water leek. Hmm just had a thought, if previous owner did and sealed the pipe shut........ Time to reinvestigate the footwell. Does anyone know for sure that on all Mk2 Alhambra the pipe runsalong the floor rather than in the roof? Quote
Steve-vc Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 I have just had this problem with my 53 Alhambra, not been working for over a year and after reading this wonderful forum, I pulled away the trim at the front passenger footwell and found the black tube had in fact separated. Clipped it back together and all works. There was a small amount of fluid under the carpet but the carpet itself wasn't wet. Now I have to have a go at the smokey heater under the car, what fun!!!
