mustie Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Hi Anyone know anything about the temp gauge light flashing red ?? and can shed some light on it for me please coolant is ok in bottle , flashed for about a mile then off then came back on turned ignition off restarted the car then it was'nt flashing after about another 2 miles started flashing again any input will be appprecited Thankyou Quote
tiny Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Where is the needle on the gauge? I had a similar problem last week, flashing light but needle as high as it would go. Turned out to be the Temp gauge sender unit, the lower 1 of the 2 sensors on the thermostat housing (Square plug, not the round one) The part was Quote

mustie Posted February 7, 2008 Author Report Posted February 7, 2008 Hi The needle is normal was a bit eratic before xmas but then went back to normal must add that the engine was cold soons as i started the engine the red light was flashing topped up expansion bottle this evening started car no red light left running for 5 mins and the light came back on Thanks for your responses Andy Quote
