Is programing & coding extra keys the same as a mark2 ?....

It was in my Galaxy Ghia Auto 2002 hand book that showed how to program keys and coding.

The door lock was used for programing 4 remotes and the ignition for coding up to 8 keys but only 4 remotes.

It was all straight forward and very easy to do. (but for the coding it had to have two keys to work)(1 key for programing remote)

In my 2007 handbook it does not state anything but only now you can have up to 8 radio remotes.

but when it comes to coding and programing the handbook just states "ask your dealer for instructions"

I want more than two because keys get lost and broken over time.

In the 2002 book it even showed you how to erase the codes in all your keys to recode a new code in case if you lost a key or even

bought the car and wanted to make sure the previous owner didnt keep back a key for future theft.

Does this still apply to my Mark3 2007 model ??

Thanks for any input in advance...... :)
