:16: Cruise was working fine till a few months ago. Now not even the light comes on on the dash. Would a perished hose keep the light from coming on or could it be a wire fault in the stalk?. Also is there a fuse or relay that could create this problem?

I've got a mk2 2.3 ghia auto with 65K on the clock.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

My C/C is similarly non-functional. I did find the vacuum hose perished, split and disconnected, but there wasn't enough of it left to re-connect. So I'll go and see if I can buy some tomorrow and have another go.

Hey stevejannicole,

You had a light on the dash to say the C/C was on/working - you were lucky.

If mine has a light, it certainly doesn't work, never has and prob never will.

Oh well, at least my C/C works for now.....

I am thread stealing, i also had problems and replaced the hose with new while i did a new water pump and thermostat, by then i had removed just about all of the front left and right of the car.

So new pipe on but no C/C, any other connections to the under wing modual i can try?
